VR/360 Degree View

You have probably seen the commercials on TV selling the Virtual Reality glasses. Or maybe you have heard the acronym VR, which stands for Virtual Reality.  Or maybe you have seen the number 360 on videos and are wondering what that means (360 videos allow you to pan in all directions as you watch it = 360 degrees).  You can bring a small taste of this to your classroom!  Check out these sites:

Google Drive: Word Cloud Generator Add-On

I love the add-ons in Google Drive, a lot.  I want to show you a special add-AddOn_WordCloudGenerator Exampleon that I use a lot that will generate a word cloud of the document.  This can be a powerful writing tool for your students to see what words they are using a lot.  Our students often are not aware of what words they use a lot.  Plus, it is really easy to like this 2ool, a lot!

Scan your book or journal barcodes to easily acquire and generate references in seconds using your phone’s camera.  You can reference any source: books, articles, webpages, videos, newspaper, legislation, artwork and more!  It includes over 7,500 reference styles (who knew there were that many to begin with), including APA and MLA.   BV folks, you can sign in with your Google email so you won’t have yet another username and password to remember.   See my instructional video to see just how easy this is.

Quizlet – and now Quizlet Live

Quizlet is a simple study tool that lets you input questions and answers in a variety of easy ways.  It creates flashcards, tests and study games. BV teachers and students can login with their Google sign in. You can search study materials as well. Teachers, you can create a class and invite your students. It is multilingual as well.


Quizlet just added a new formative assessment WEB2oOL that your students are going to love… Quizlet Live!  It is a collaborative classroom game that will help your students review your classroom content in a fun and collaborative way. Students login at https://quizlet.com/live.


Technology Integration Idea:  Gretchen Meyers plans to have her students submit questions via a Google Form . Next, she will copy paste these into Quizlet via their awesome Import feature that allows to to copy /paste from Word, Excel or Google Docs.  Easy!  Then, let the games begin.  What a great idea, Gretchen!
